- Learn about the living organisms in a local pond or lake
- Learn to purify water with distillation
- Make several bird feeders (We actually ended up making birdhouses.)
- Learn to identify a few animal tracks
- Make a rain gauge and place it in the yard
- Fly a kite
- Make pet rocks
- Learn to identify trees by their leaves
- Start recycling
- Go fishing
- Build a bat house
- Begin learning to cook outdoors
- Learn to start and properly extinguish a fire
- Camp
