While cleaning out and getting rid of
all our old magazines, the boys and I came across an
interesting article about Opossums and we decide to read it together. These animals are much more interesting than I realized. (Please note that this article has some parts that I skipped or rephrased when reading it out loud.)
So anyway, here's what they said they learned...
- Opossums have pouches
- the babies climb up the mom's fur into the pouch
- Opossums waddle when they walk
- Opossums have little "thumbs"
- they are immune to the venom of rattlesnakes
So that was our science class for the day!
