I woke up today with both boys and my husband in bed with me! We haven't tried sleeping together in our queen size bed for at least 2, if not 3 years. The boys are just too big, it was soooooo crowded! But it was wonderful too. I had forgotten how nice it is to wake up within minutes of each other and then lay in bed talking and cuddling. It was a special treat for all of us!
Once we finally decided to crawl out of bed and get our day started Hubby and I spent a bit of time teaching the boys about laundry...everything we know.
- how to sort
- how big a load should be
- how to decide what temp. the water should be
- how much soap to use
- what not to dry
- how to fold and put away neatly
This is training out of necessity, our laundry pile was taking over the garage (now it's taking over the living room until it all gets done). But it is also a necessity because we want them to be self sufficient. I don't want to do their laundry forever and I don't want their wives to HAVE to either, unless of course they want to.
Ah, one of the best things moms of boys can do is teach them laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning, and ironing. They will have a very happy wife/fiancee some day! :D
