Anyway, he enjoyed his silly putty all day and then took it to bed with him. I didn't know it was in his bed with him until the next morning when I found it in his hair and all over his pillow! It was worse than gum! Thinking that was the worst of it we threw away the ruined pillow and gave J a hot bath and a good shampoo. (We still didn't get all the silly putty out of his hair at the time but it's since worn its way out.)
To our dismay the pillow and the hair has not been the worst of it. We found that the sheet and the 2 or 3 blankets that were on the bed had silly putty all over them and now today we discovered silly putty on the shirt W was wearing in bed that night. (It must have just cycled out of the dirty clothes. Is that awful?)
It was one of W's favorite shirts, a Star Wars shirt given to him for his birthday. Anyone know how to get dried on, already been through the laundry cycle, silly putty out of a t-shirt?? Help!!
Oh no! I hope you can get that figured out. I am not good with laundry :(
ReplyDeleteI know its been a while but what about putting the shirt in the freezer and seeing if it'll scrape off easily.
ReplyDeleteAgain sorry I didn't respond sooner.
