truth be told

Okay, so in the spirit of being honest, I thought I should let you know that I am trying out the South Beach diet again, but this time with a veggie twist.
I hesitate to post this information because I know there will be some mixed reactions...When I did SB before I lost 20 pounds in about 6 months...but as soon as I got sloppy I gained it all back plus some (actually plus more than just some). I think I have to realize that this is life long. I will probably never be able to not pay attention to what I eat again.
Anyway, what I'm doing is following a vegetarian version of SB, and just adding meat to the menu when I want to. I don't like to eat a lot of meat and cheese and so this is a better option for me.
I'll try to post what I eat several times during each phase, and also let you know if I lose any weight. Tomorrow will be day one of phase 1.

  1. Good luck Penny, you can do it! I've been doing well with my diet too....Not sure about weight loss, but I've been "good" while in Chicago..that's been TOUGH! Love you!
