It took me a couple of years to get comfortable with praise in my daily interactions with God. So I started paraphrasing and rewriting the Psalms to get me going. A lot of people do this and for good reason, it really does help. I believe that because God loves us, our praise is his pleasure. So shout loud and make a joyful noise.
