Missionary pen-pals/ Adopt a missionary family

This month I'll be having the kiddos at church choose a missionary kid to write to. Hopefully at least some of these will turn into pen-pals. The kids will be encouraged to ask some of the following questions in their letters.

• What is the weather like where you live?
• What is your house like?
• Who are your friends there?
• What do you like best about where you live?
• What is your school like?
• How long have you lived there?
• What languages do you speak?
• How can we pray for you?

Perhaps your church has some specific missionary families that they support, this would be an excellent place to start looking for missionary kids to write. Have fun with it. (I have a friend who grew up on the mission field and she says she loved getting letters with stickers or other small gifts.) Another thing to consider is adopting an entire family to write to and send care packages to throughout the year.
