Learning about missions and Mexico

Main Lesson -

Click here to read a blog written by missionaries in Mexico.

The Gray's are involved in the preparation of pastor's and church leaders in Mexico, and live in Puebla. They homeschool their three children who are elementary school age. They have some nice photo's to share too!

You'll especially want to check out and talk about the challenges and opportunities that Bob Gray points out in his Ministry Information document. Click here to access.

Pray for the Gray's and their ministry in Mexico.

Art-

The Huichol Indians live in a secluded part of Mexico and create beautiful art from yarn and beeswax on a wooden base. Just as stained glass is one way people glorify God through art, this can be another. Although this art form was originally used to honor false God's we can use it to honor the one true God! Pray to God and thank him for the missionaries, preachers, teachers and all the Christians in Mexico that are pointing people to the truth!

Make corn tortillas! Use the recipe on the back of a bag of masa harina. (I've been told that it is essential that you follow the directions exactly!)

Take the time to pray for people in Mexico and all over the world who are hungry and have no food. Also pray for those who are hungry for the love of Jesus.

Music -

Teach your child to sing Jesus Loves Me in Spanish. You can check out You Tube if you'd like. Please preview any videos before sharing them with your children.

Pray for the teachers and preachers and musicians in Mexico who point people to Jesus.

Games -

At this link you can find a tug of war game for a group of children that will reinforce the fact that missionaries must depend on God. (This game is not specific to any country.)

Pray for all the missionaries in the world who are leaning on God and depending on his strength every day!

Computer -

Check out this Mexico for kids web site.
