The boys and I enjoyed an Earth Day Fair at the park today. It was so fun and we learned a lot! The kids planted vegetables and native flowers in recycled egg cartons to sprout and then plant in our yard. They colored light switch covers and labeled them with the important message, "Turn off the lights." And they got half a dozen coloring books on recycling, water conservation, earth friendly pest control and more. (We'll be counting these coloring book activities as science for the rest of our homeschool year.)
We had a great time and I'm looking forward to continuing to make changes in our lifestyle that will be good for the earth God gave us!
